Openhouse is a biannual magazine that talks about art, design, architecture and culture. A guide of creative people who share their philosophy of life with us, based on the conservation of values like tradition, nature, art and identity.

In issue No. 5 we join James Lowe of Lyle´s London and visit farmer Tom Jones. Joel from Eatwith, tell us their story awhile. HK Farm show us the difference they are making to the lives of the local people in Hong Kong. We visit the modern-day cabin built by Pezo von Ellrichshausen for the Solo Houses project and talk to Bosco Lodi about the wonderful Tadao Ando designed Casa Wabi, artist residence in Puerto Escondido. We stay with Claudia and Carlo at Malatesta Maison de Charme, while Alexandre from 0fr Paris, opens up his country house in Lot, for artists. We Join Jared in Silver Lake, LA. for his many concerts, and finish with the architectural dream, Els Comellars, built by John Pawson and Claudio Silvestrin in Mallorca.

SHIPPING

We deliver to Canada with free express shipping on orders over 350 CAD. 

Orders are dispatched from our Montreal warehouse on business days and does not operate on weekends or public holidays. Once orders are processed and dispatched, allow 1-2 business days for express delivery, 3-9 business days for standard delivery.

A signature will be required upon delivery.

RETURNS

We accept returns - but we ask that you consider your purchase.

If you receive an item that’s not quite right we can assist you with finding the right solution. As a business that is making considered decisions every day to be more accountable we encourage you to do the same. Frivolous purchasing with an intention to return is a habit we do not support, please remember that the process of returning carries an environmental cost to our planet.

We accept returns within 30 days from the date of order. 

To be eligible for a return, item(s) must meet the conditions of our returns policy available here.

Please note that you will be required to ship the item(s) to Montreal, Canada and you will be required to pay for your own shipping costs if you decide to return your order. Shipping costs are non-refundable and Silk Laundry does not cover the cost of return shipping.
